Ask Jack and Jill.com Current question on Dreams:
Q: I have a recurring dream of falling, I can feel the air go by me. And I seem to fall for minutes.  I wake up before I hit the ground. What does this mean?  And is there anything I can do to alleviate the feeling??
Jack's Answer:
This is a sign for you to go skydiving.  Embrace the feeling and enjoy it.  Most dreams, as you will see from our other post, relate to insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties.  The feeling of falling represents the downward spiral of something you can't control.  When you fall you have nothing to hold onto for support. So there is something in your life that is not going the way you want it. Wow that's vague. Basically your dream is telling you to get your shit together and take control of your life.

Jill's Answer:
Ugh, I've had that before, and once where I really felt like I was slammed to the ground hard and it woke me up.  Usually these dreams will happen soon after falling asleep, when your body may still be experiencing twitches or muscle movements.  Possibly one of these movements awaken you thus you never hit the ground. If you are experiencing these dreams later in the sleep stage, you can be expressing an anxiety you are having over a situation that you feel isn't under your control.  You might be feeling overwhelmed or insecure about aspects of your life, and it is expressed in your sleeping hours.  As for alleviating it, maybe try spooning a pillow so your body in almost in a ball, it might control the jerking motions. If it's the anxiety issue, figure out what you need to change and work on relieving the stress of the situation.

Ask Jack and Jill.com question on Dreams:
Q: I have been having a lot of crazy dreams lately. I am in dark water and I slowly start to drown. I know how to swim but no matter what I do I still sink. I always seem to wake up before I actually drown but it seems so real. What do you think this means?

Jack's Answer:
Umm don't go swimming. Usually when people have dreams like this it means that they feel like they are overwhelmed with something in their life. That you have bitten off more than you can chew. It could be with work/school/life. The best way to help this is to be proactive and don't procrastinate

Jill's Answer:
Sounds like you are struggling with a situation in life that you aren't sure how to handle, and you are more stressed than usual. You are struggling with emotions that possibly you are repressing during your day to day life. Try relaxing and meditating and see if your thoughts keep returning to a particular situation. Perhaps dealing with it head on will put an end the dream for you.

Q: General questionI've been having these reoccurring dreams where I'm being attacked or something bad is happening and when I try to scream for help, I have no voice. I'm scared to death when I wake up. I believe these dreams are affecting my life in a negative way. Can anyone help me with this? By Ruby
Jack's Answer:
I think this has a lot to do with stress. Your subconscious is trying to let you know that you are, "being attacked", maybe not physically, but mentally. There is something going on in your life that you don't like. Something that you are uncomfortable with and see no way out of. You feel like there is no one that can help or listen to you. You need to figure out what is making you dream these dreams and confront the situation. Find someone to help you. It might not necessarily be someone that you usually rely on. I feel once you undertake the beginning steps to resolve this situation you will see the bad dreams diminish
Jill's Answer:
The loss of voice symoblizes the lack of control of a situation. There may be some area or situation in your life where you feels as if you are not being heard or understood. Ponder your situations in life and see if this applies to any. Once it's brought to light you can confront the situation and hopefully the dream will be a distant memory.

Q. I'm a girl and have my fair share of sex dreams, but it's always with strange people that I'm not attracted to. Why do you think that is? By  Jenn
Jack's Answer:
That sounds horrible. Maybe you need to start drinking in your dream so they start to look better. I'm not really sure what this means. Maybe you should look at some pictures of guys you are attracted to right before you go to bed.  I wish I could help you on this one but I'm stumpe
Jill's Answer:
I think your body needs the release, and the reason for strange people could just be that your regular dreams are intertwined with your bodily needs. Take care of that regularly and it will happen a lot less.
